The National Defence Academy / Naval Academy (NDA / NA) exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) which enables aspiring students to join the three professional uniformed services of the Indian Defence Forces – Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force.
This national level examination is a two-step process consisting of a written exam and then clear the Service Selection Board (SSB) Interview. It is conducted twice a year (Sep & Apr). The UPSC is solely responsible for issuing guidelines and the final conduct of the examination.
The training process at DAV enables students to get skilled in variety of topics from polity to economics, Science, Geography, Indian history & Current affairs.
Regular mock tests and discussions are conducted to strengthen their academics and provides confidence in approaching the examination.
Service Selection Board (SSB) is a 5-day selection test to evaluate the candidate for a career in the Indian Defence forces. The test includes two parts: an intelligence and personality test and a group interview.
A panel of officers from the Indian Armed Forces conducts the SSB interview. A medical examination is performed to evaluate the candidate’s health and fitness.
DAV provides support for SSB interview for the students who cleared NDA written examination.
